AKC Marketing Acquires a Drone
July 23, 2015
The AKC Marketing drone arrived today and not a minute too soon. We already have several projects planned with our clients involving the drone.
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones have quickly becoming a popular and useful tool – especially in agriculture. In fact, agriculture is poised to become the biggest market for UAVs, according to the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International.
Farmers are using UAVs or drones with crop scouting and precision agriculture site-specific farming. Drones allow farmers to cover and analyze fields and locations in more detail and less time. The machines can be equipped with infrared cameras and other technology collecting data on pests or diseases or location of livestock and more. With that information, farmers have the ability to make management decisions on inputs that could help them boost yields and increase profits.
Our marketing agency has several agricultural clients and each of them has the potential to use the drone extensively for photography, video, product testing and more. We’ve only just begun to explore the ideas on how the drone will be put to use.
We’re excited to get started. Look for updates on how the AKC drone is being put to use.
