Content and Digital Marketing Coordinator

AKC Marketing, a 100% Employee Owned agency, is seeking a Content and Digital Marketing Coordinator. 
The idea candidate is a highly organized, self- starter who wants to be part of a winning marketing team. Best of all, you'll help the team create a welcoming environment for new and existing clients!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and promote new video editing services, including client relations with existing users and aiding in marketing efforts to expand the user base. Experience in light video editing a plus.
  • Manage the routing process of videos through the system.
  • Coordinate with video team to return edits to user quickly and efficiently.
  • Run monthly analytics and keep all clients apprised of video submissions, topics and more.
  • Regularly connect with clients to ensure proper client relations with the video service.
  • May work with technical personnel in the development and/improvement of marketing tools.
  • Oversee all content creation for assigned client.
  • Assist the full client team in putting together a content strategy for campaigns, including digital, print, tradeshow, etc.
  • Help ensure digital project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
  • Create and maintain content marketing calendar to ensure regular content throughout the year.
  • Develop search engine optimized content and consistently utilize targeted keywords.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and monitor content activities of competitors as needed.
  • Maintain and update content on client websites as needed.
  • Develop and execute paid and organic social media campaigns for the assigned client, identifying opportunities to build clients’ visibility in reaching their target audience.
  • Develop and maintain online content, including blogs and website content, that attracts attention, generates interest, and is easily shared via social networks.
  • Become an expert in the clients’ business and the competitive landscape and look for new and unique marketing opportunities.
  • Help determine KPIs to measure effectiveness of campaigns and translate metrics to actual insights gained to help inform marketing, development and other key departments.
Requirements and Experience: 
  • 1-3 years of marketing experience, or equivalent.
  • Skilled writer and proofreader.
  • Social media marketing experience.
  • Experience developing a content and social media strategy.
  • Experience working with and developing a marketing plan.
  • Practices superior time management.
  • Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.), their respective participants and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Understanding of how to measure the success of campaigns.
  • Experience with HubSpot or Asana a plus.
  • Agriculture experience a plus.
  • Client travel may be required.

Digital Analytics & CRM Strategist

Location: Johnston, Iowa
Type: Full-Time

We’re looking for a Digital Analytics & CRM Strategist in the Central Iowa/Des Moines area, who brings together analytical thinking, marketing expertise, and a strong problem-solving mindset. This role is ideal for someone who loves digging into data, uncovering insights, and shaping strategy, while also rolling up your sleeves to execute within HubSpot CRM hubs. You’ll play a key role in how we use data across client work, campaigns, and internal initiatives, helping uncover performance trends, drive smarter decisions, and create greater clarity across our marketing efforts every day.


What You’ll Do

Turn Data Into Direction

    • Build and evolve how we collect, structure, and analyze marketing data
    • Translate performance metrics into clear insights and actionable recommendations
    • Create dashboards and reporting that clients and teams actually use

Drive Campaign Performance

    • Partner with internal teams to plan, execute, and optimize integrated digital campaigns
    • Implement tracking strategies (UTMs, tagging, attribution) to measure what matters
    • Run A/B tests and continuously refine campaigns to improve outcomes

Connect the Dots

    • Integrate data across platforms: HubSpot CRM, analytics tools, ad platforms, and more
    • Identify trends, uncover opportunities, and solve complex marketing challenges
    • Present insights in a way that’s clear, compelling, and impactful
    • Proactively manage database health through routine data cleanup, segmentation updates, and CRM maintenance

Optimize HubSpot CRM Strategy

    • Ensure data quality, consistency, and usability across systems
    • Collaborate on enhancing HubSpot CRM and marketing automation efforts, including lead scoring, segmentation, and lifecycle management
    • Develop nurture strategies and workflows that move prospects through the funnel

What You Bring

    • 5+ years of experience in digital analytics, marketing data, or related field
    • Hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM (Salesforce a plus)
    • Strong understanding of digital marketing performance metrics and attribution
    • Experience working with tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and digital ad platforms
    • Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets and comfort working with large datasets

Bonus Points If You Have

    • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker Studio, Domo, etc.)
    • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R
    • Agency experience or comfort managing multiple clients/projects
    • Familiarity with HTML/CSS or website structure

Senior Graphic Designer

Location: Johnston, Iowa
Type: Full-Time
Pay Scale: $60,000 - $75,000

AKC Marketing…a 100% Employee-Owned company, is seeking a talented graphic designer. This position will be responsible for the conceptualizing, designing and timely completion of collateral material for a wide variety of advertising, including print, digital, web and video, across multiple brands. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design, and who wants to be a part of a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with clients and internal teams will be crucial to ensure that creative solutions meet project objectives. The ideal candidate will balance the creative process with technical execution to see the project through production within strict timelines.


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional conceptual and design skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must have an eye for fine detail, and ability to spot design inconsistencies
  • Full understanding of prepress and print production as well as web-based software
  • Working knowledge of a wide range of media; including print, digital, photography and storyboard development for video
  • Capable of collaborating with all levels of the organization
  • Able to take on a project from initial concept and development, and see it through to final completion
  • Able to work alone, but also able to work with a team and accept the occasional critique or direction from both a client and/or a creative director
  • Proven ability to build positive long-standing relationships with clients and staff

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in marketing/advertising agency or related field, 4+ years preferred
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint/Word/Excel)
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of interactive design, graphic and animation design, web and mobile browser capabilities, and HTML is a plus
  • Ability to write the occasional headline and/or block of copy is a plus
